For so many years I did one crash diet after another, "ooo lets count points" "I know! I'll eat this whole pizza today and just won't eat anything tomorrow". Sound familiar? lol
After having two kids and reaching a grand total of 340 lbs i knew that I couldn't make anymore excuses, something had to be done.
In February 2012 i packed up the kiddo's, moved from Texas (the land of fried food and ranch dressing) to Colorado; the Healthiest state in the U.S. My uncle owns Conviction Crossfit in Erie, Colorado so i started there right away. I had know idea what crossfit was but i was soon gonna learn about the beast that is Crossfit!
Walking into the Gym for the 1st time being so over weight, not knowing any of the workouts, so sure there was probably nacho cheese somewhere on my face was probably the same feeling one would get if they showed up to prom with their dad lol. I just knew they were judging me, waiting for me to fail. I couldn't have been more wrong. They were all so supportive and cheering me on without even knowing who i was. My first workout was 2 min of burpees, I THOUGHT I WAS GONNA DIE! haha
Well it is now 5 months later, I can dead lift 225, and I'm down 47 lbs, but still have a long road ahead which is why i started this blog, so the people who have just started crossfit can join in on my little journey.
